The baby Togepi and the super-reare, super-powerful Mew.
The Silver and Gold Pokemon Game Boy cartridges were released in Japan in November and will be the basis for the new Pokemon Neo card set due to debut in Japan this year. There look to be 100 new critters in this ser, including "pre-evolution" of favorites like Pikachu's "Pichu". -Pokemonstrosity Pokemon seems to have infected every aspect of our lives recently. You can't watch the news, go to Burger King or even catch an episode of "South Park" without getting an eyeful of everyone's favorite electric mouse. Fear not tough; beneath the merchandising and media bombardment lies a card game adding members to the ranks of gamers every day. Some experienced CCGers have even taken up the game daily as a refreshing alternative to their normal fare. Back to basics Cards and packs from the basic set are increasing in value more and more as time goes on and the basic set or "blue" packs become harder to find. Even though these packs don't guarantee a rare pokemon - some of the rares are trainers - players are still enchanted by the possibility of pulling a Blastoise or a Charlizard out of a pack. First-edition prices continue on their frenzied pace, with a Carlizard commanding up to $500 in mint condition. It will be interesting to see if Base Set 2, due out this spring, will possess the same level of popularity. Some plkemon and trainers are being removed from this version, such as Porygon and Clefairy Doll; since these non-rare cards are readily available their value won't be affected mush.
POKEMON CENTER
Did you know? 1. Rhydon's natural habitat is in molten lava. 2. Rhy- don's tough hide can withstand temperatures of up to 3,600 degrees! 3. The horn drill on it's head is strong enough to burrow straight trough rock.
Some Pokemon Guide I have got for new trainers (gameboy) : Different between red, blue, and yellow version: It's not quite possible to have all 151 pokemon in each version of Pokemon, unless you trade them with other version, or by using cheats, or game sharks. Here are the pokemon can't be found in each of them: Red- Meowth, Persian, Sandshrew, Sandslash, Bellsprout, Weepinball, Vectreebel, Vulpix, Ninetails, Pinsir and Magmar. Blue- Ekans, Arbok, Mankey, Primeape, Oddish, Gloom, Vileplum, Growlithe, Arcanine, Scyther and Electabuzz. Yellow- Meowth, Persian, Ekans, Arbok, Weedle, Kakuna, Beedrill, Jynx, Koffing, Weezing, Magmar, Electabuzz and Raichu (you cannot evolve your Pikachu)
Objective of the game: The game has three objectives, complete all your PoKeDex, winning all the badges, and to defeat the elite four ( to be the Pokemon League's champion).
How do Pokemon elvolve: Most Pokémon can evolve. Evolving Pokémon boosts their stats and of course, adds to your Pokédex. There are three ways to evolve a Pokémon- 1) Evolve when Pokémon gains experience and reach a certain level. Most Pokémon evolve this way. Eg Squirtle evolves to Wartortle when it reaches level 16. 2) Using a stone: There are 5 types of stones, water, fire, leaf, thunder and moon. Some Pokémon need stones to evolve, example, to evolve Pikachu into Raichu you would use a thunder stone. 1) Trade it via cable: There are 4 Pokémon that only evolve when they are traded: Kadabra, Machoke, Haunter and Graveller.
When you see the screen that says 'What! Pokémon is evolving!', you can stop the evolution, press B. The Pokémon will try to evolve again at its next level up.
Pokemon of the week!
Top them ways to care for your Pokemon 10. Take it to the nearest Pokemon Center regularly for a free checkup and a compleate healing. Every major city has one. Always make sure your Pokemon is well rested and in good health before a major battle. 9. Trade it with a friend. The more new life experiences your Pokemon has the stronger and smarter it will become. Then you can trade back for it. 8. Keep a well-stocked first-aid kit. Battles, even for play, cause cuts, scrapes, and bruises. Every town has a Poke Mart where you can but these supplies, but the Celadon City Deparment Store is the best stocked. A good first-aid kit includes: Awakening Potion - wakes up a Pokemon that has been put to sleep Antidote - cures poisonous stings Paralyze Heal - loosens up a Pokemon that can't move Burn Heal - soothes painful burns left by Fire elements Potions - heal wounds in general Revive - wakes up Pokemon that have fainted Ice Heal - defrosts froze Pokemon 7. Start off slowly. Don't try to fight another trainer too soon. Build up our Pokemon's experience through small competitions with wild Pokemon. When you are ready to take on another trainer, make sure your Pokemon and the trainers Pokemon have a similar amount of experience. 6, Practice. Let a new or less experieced Pokemon start off a big battle. Then replace it with a stronger Pokemon before it gets hurt. Quick, safe battles are a good way to build up a Pokemon's experince. 5. Stay smart. Make sure you know everything ou can about your Pokemon before you decide how to raise it. Each Pokemon is special and has differnt needs. 4. Take your Pokemon to the museum. There's a great museum of science in Pewter City with an exhibit of extinct Pokemon bones. A difinite must-see! 3. Teamwork. The six Pokemon you carry with you should have a variety of techniques and elements. Also don't concentrate on raisig up one Pokemon's experience and not the other's. Keep all your Pokemon ezually strong. The secreat to success is teamwork. 2. Don't forget your vitamins! Pokemon need to take their vitamins and minerals to keep them healthy and strong. These are some of the items that you can but for your Pokemon: Calcium- to increase special powers Carbos- to increase speed Iron- to increase defense strength Protein- to increase attack strnght Rare Candy- OK, so it's not a vitamin. But a treat once in a while keeps your Pokemon happy and boosts their energy up one level. 1.
