We have now jumped a little bit ahead of schedule.  The following pictures are from our 2001 paddlefishing experience.  The void from where we left off until now will be fill as soon as I get the time and pictures!
Sorry Jeff, your group record fish will just have to wait a little longer to be recognized!
Here is Keith with his first paddlefish weighing in at 54 pounds.  This was the luckiest fish ever caught, he caught it on his first cast of the day.  Talk about beginners luck, actually I think he caught every fish this year but one?
This is Jed, this was his second year with us.  His brother Jeff (the record holder) has a couple more years and fish under his belt than Jed, but at this rate he will catch up fast.   Jeff didn't you go a few years before catching anything?
This is Nathan, showing off a little of the hardware used for paddlefishing.  This was his first year paddlefishing.  Sorry, he really isn't this dark?
Here is Nathan swimming with, I mean gaffing his first paddlefish.  Somewhere in the gaffing lesson he forgot that the fish was suppose to come to him not the other way around!!  Go back to the first paddlefishing page Nathan and see the proper method of gaffing.  Oh well, either way I guess the gaf has been passed on!
Every once and awhile you get a surprise that is welcomed.  This is a tagged paddlefish that was caught by Jed in 2001.  The one and only tagged paddlefish that our group has ever caught.
Keith and myself with two of the three fish caught in 2001, the third one broke loose.  They are 52 pounds and 30 pounds.  Shortly after this we started the  200 mile drive home.
