I was so excited, as I hardly ever got to have pizza. The half-hour wait for the delivery was long, but I knew it would be worth it. I spent the time dreaming of all the delicious toppings. The zesty sauce. The steaming hot cheese. After what seemed like an eternity, the delivery man arrived. Everyone went to set the dining room table. Me, my mother, my aunt, my uncle, my cousin Dave, and my cousin Helen. Since the average pizza has 12 slices, I didn't think that was a plausible explanation. Being so young though, I couldn't think of any other good reason for why the pizza was gone. I figured everyone must have been really hungry, and it had been my own fault for not staking my claim to my own piece before I went to the bathroom. How wrong I was... |
