Joseph married Archibelle 'Belle' Coulter on the 21st of May 1876 in Piedmont, Wayne Co., MO - the marriage was performed by William Huff of Hogan's Mountain, MO.
Joseph was ordained a minister in 1905, he was a traveling preacher & preached his last sermon in Nov. 1911. He was ordained for the office of Elder in the Methodist Church on Jan 14, 1906 - signed: T.L. Wilson, Wm. M. Marsters, Wm.L. Burks & G. W. Kenney. He was a mill hand, also sold merchandise at a general store. He had 9 children, 2 died under one year of age. |
