The ministers at this meeting were ISAAC LANE, R. Seal, and D. Warren; ISAAC LANE was moderator again and Thomas Dickson was chosen clerk. Bethel Association was continually sending off groups of churches for the establishment of other association. In 1860 a group of churches in Iron County consisting of Mount Pleasant, Big Creek, Pilgrims Rest, White Oak Grove, Sugar Tree Grove, Mount Gilead, Mount Zion and Locust Grove organized an association called the Central Missouri Association. The ministers concerned in this organization were William Polk, Harry Young and James Ritter. All of these churches had been members of Bethel Association and were dismissed from that organization in 1859. This association met in 1860 at Mount Zion in Washington County; at that time ISAAC LANE was moderator and David Adams was clerk. There were 13 churches in the association at this time, 8 of which were represented at the meeting reporting a total membership of 367. The ministers were N. Adams, ISAAC LANE, G. W. Bay and P. McCracken. page 559: Wayne county Association was organized at McKenzie Creek Church on October 16, 1875, with the following churches, representing an aggregate membership of 444: McKenzie Creek, Phillipi, Oak Grove, Good Hope, Black River, Bethel, Lebanon, Logan's Creek, Big Lake Creek, Mount Pleasant, Liberty Hill and Pleasant Grove. The ministers present were ISAAC LANE, A. R. L. Meador, J. W. Wilson, J. B. Wallace, M. A. Taylor and Daniel Sheets. ... 'Shirt-Tail Kin', pg 206 Isaac Lane "was baptized into the fellowship of Big Creek Baptist Church by Elder William Polk," in 1854, "and in 1856 was ordained to the ministery by the said Big Creek Church." [From Isaac's own hand, writing in 1897.] Isaac and Diannah lived in Centerville, on the west fork of the Black River, in Reynolds County, Mo. The Centerville Baptist Church records of 1877 show Brother Isaac Lane as the pastor; he was the author of the petition to the Franklin Baptist Association.
