Yes it's another page of anarchic naughty djs or radio presenters learning their trade in a very hostile environment, no not the ship, the SEA. |

Here are three audiofiles from 1987, when Caroline still had a really strong signal up here out in the sticks. She had an unmistakable sound to her audio, anyway I digress as usual. This dj is a mystery to me, the quality of the recording isn't great but 300 miles on ground wave isn't that bad. Sorry in advance for some of the poor qualitr recordings. Even before i compressed them to mp3s the quality wasn't that great. I have added echo on some of them to try and improve the audio quality. |

Here is Mr Steve C|onway doing his best to read the news in true British Radio tradition (even though he had a slight Irish accent). |

This is my FAVE Drop in of all time, I haven't compressed it too much, I hope you'll like it. |

An advert for Brighton Record Fair in 1987, they advertised this event annually. |

This guy (like so many others) had a short stint on the Ross, but it must have been an unforgettable experience. |

Here is Chris Kennedy on 558, he was actually Steve Conways brother, now there's a thing now. |

This is a rather wooly sounding excerpt from Caroline in 88, I was using a Realistic DX-300 at the time with a random length antenna. I hope you can make out the audio ok. |

Yet another rather 'muffled' excerpt from Caroline in 1988, I can't make these clips any better, at the time i had to rely on signal strength, without a matched loop antenna. |

Paul Graham who also worked for the ill fated Radio Sovereign here on this rather cack snippet, but it's the thought that counts. |

The tones of Mr Peter Phillips who worked on the long running Land based Pirate Radio Jackie for quite some time, then became Programme Controller on the Ross. |

Here is Dutch Radio station Radio 558, they took over the 558 frequency after the tower came down in 87, allowing the crew time to erect another antenna for the 819 outlet. |

Here is another short lived dJ on board the Ross. his name Simon West. Sounded really up for it though, his presentation style was really punchy. |
