So I get this email telling me that "Someone got you a date" so on a whim since I see that there is no nasty attachment with it, I open it wondering who would have gotten me a date seeing as how I don't really need one anymore, I've got a steady cute boy in my life I don't need another one, this one is more than enough... (why don't you tell me your FEEEELINGS?)
Anyway. I see there's this link for http://searchingforasoulmate.com with some cofirm thing at the end and numbers...ya know, the usual thing that sends them some kind of thing telling them yours is a real email address and they should send you more crap. Well, I go to google type in "searching for a soul mate" and this place doesn't show up, only like wicca websites show up for that kinda thing...
So it was a big fat LIE that "someone got me a date" how dare they lie to me...

Also I get this email from Howard Dean's campaign asking me to sign up for some rally in Milwaukee. Look, Dude, if you need help with the Wisconsin Primary, I'm not your girl... I live in Chicago, that's a whole OTHER STATE... NOT Wisconisn...

Then the folks at Moveon.org want me to help them with a petition to Censure Bush so I said, OK... I'll sign that Online Petition. I swear, I hadn't written to my government officials ever until I discovered the Moveon.org people. And the cool thing is that my senators and stuff REPLY to me. Yup I get letters in the mail from my polititicans saying, "thanks for writing to me" You should try it too!

But the best thing in my inbox was the Join Me Newsletter. It's from this British Comedian dude named Danny, and he's trying to start a movement of niceness. He's doing well in England and Australia. He's working on coming to America at the end of this month. All members promise a random act of kindness on Friday. And here's the link to his book. So it's good to know people are still being nice out there.
