Why I'm disgruntled

OK, this is one example of why I'm so annoyed with bosslady, MKK. I was on vacation 2 weeks ago. She gets a call from a client who's upset cuz we didn't tell them of a rate increase at a paper in thier stupid form system of answering 80 questions. So she calls the paper gets the info to answer the questions and then waits until TUESDAY OF THIS WEEK to get ME to do it. She had everything she needed to do it herself, but did she do that?!? NO NO NO!! I had to do it for her. And this is the type of thing she does ALL THE TIME. She can't do anything herself, she makes everyone else do it. So in the end our CLIENT had to wait 2 weeks to get the email that she could have done that SAME DAY she got the fax from the paper.

Interview

OK so I met with two lovely women from Michael Walters Advertising for a new job. Let me describe this new place compared to the old one...Hard wood floor when you walk in. Lovely tables flanking the entry way that look like they're from Restoration Hardware or maybe Room and Board...beautiful wood with cast iron. there's a baby grand piano in the middle of the space behind the receptionst. The whole place looks like a hard loft with the exposed bricks, beams etc. I can see a cushy couch/love seat straight back in an office who's door is parallel to the entry way. it's over stuffed and has a possible flower pattern and it was calling out to me to go sit on it. From the waiting area I could see the kitchen. They had cases of water and soda for anyone to grab and drink....no fending for yourself. and everyone who walked by said "hello" to me.
Now when compared to the office I'm currently working in where all the walls are painted gray, the newly added doors to the PR hallway makes the offices there seem like cells. NOTHING is open or airy in our space and everyone is segregated. In that you have to make an effort to walk around to socialize with others... not such a good way to make coworkers feel like they work together.
So yeah.. it'd be a much more pleasant work environment and a more stable company.

Cross your fingers for me everyone!

Not particularly PC, do not read if easily offended

So yesterday was MLK day... I had to work but I got a fabulous lunch out courtesy of the folks at KISS-FM here in Chicago. My rep from the station told me that I should tell bossman, "John, my cats are both black and I think I need to go home now to help them celebrate Martin Luther King's birthday and the end to their oppression by "the man".
As much as I wanted to do that...I held back...however, if this job interview tomorrow goes well, he's SO TOTALLY GETTING THE SHAFT... 2 weeks is all he's gunna get out of me!

Yeah, I'm bitter... what about it?
