I was listening to NPR today and heard a show called Fresh Air and heard the repeat of an Interview with Joss Whedon. It 's very cool even though it's a bit old. You can download it and listen to it. Enjoy!

A blog you should read

I've been using the "next blog" link that pulls up blogs at random for quite a while now. I've been reading blogs here and there that are mostly similar to my own, pretty damned boring...and many are political discussion types blah blah blah... but this one is different. The Homeless Guy has a very important blog that all should read. He's actually a homeless guy in Nashville, TN and he has a blog set up on Blogger's Blogspot and he accesses his blog through the computers offered at the library. He learned how to use the computers through some program at the library as well. For someone who learned it all on his own, he's got an impressive website. There is even an article on him in USA Today.

November 5

Not only is today my best friend's birthday but it is also Guy Fawkes Day in England. The History Channel has a neat little blurb of what Guy Fawkes Day is all about. To sum it all up into a simple sentence for those who don't wish to click through to the History Channel's website and read all that stuff there... Guy Fawkes is an evil Catholic terrorist from the 1600's.

Today I had to show up for jury duty. I went in at 9:30 and sat for two hours bored out of my mind. Finally at about 11:45am we were lead to a court room where we went up in groups of 14 and told some background about ourselves to get chosen for a jury on a criminal case about guns. I'm not sure exactly what the charges were but I'm pretty sure it had something to do with selling guns to criminals or something about falsifying documents in regards to the sales of guns. I was not selected. I think my mentioning that I know three people who work in law enforcement helped me get out of being chosen. I'm glad cuz I was hoping for a more exciting case than that one. I'm free from jury duty tomorrow but I've got to call tomorrow night for Thursday. So it's off to the work house for me tomorrow. Bah!

Well... that's it for now. I'm getting kinda sneezy and I have to call the office to tell them I'll be there tomorrow.

Yay Me!

I have been made the new editor of Snotty Bitch. It is such an honor to have people think I can do such a thing. Lets hope I don't screw it up. In the meantime.... I am on call for the next two weeks for Jury Duty for the United States District Court. Every day after 5pm I have to call their special number to see if I have to show up the next day at the court house. So far, today I don't have to go. Yay for me...
It could prove to be very interesting...or it could suck completely. I'll keep you posted on how things go and if it does end up being something interesting. Right now it's sucking because I'm getting calls all over the place from work people wanting t set up meetings and I wont know until after 5pm the day before if I'll even be here that day to meet with them.
