Have you ever read a book that you just couldn't stop reading? And when you did stop reading it, you couldn't stop thinking about it? Then, when you were at work away from the book, you had this urge to just drop everything you were doing and grab the book to continue reading it. I have never had that feeling until now. I know it sounds silly, but I've been reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and I can't put it down. When I first heard about the Harry Potter books I thought, "that's great, kids are finally excited about reading. I'm so glad this J.K. Rowling has written something that gets kids excited about books for a change. Then a friend of mine started telling me that I should read them, that I'd like them. I thought, "I dunno, it's a book for kids, I can't get that excited about a book for children."
Then they made the first book into a movie and I started hearing from so many different people about how they read and enjoyed her books. One day last year around November or December I was in Target and I saw the "Harry Potter" display and on a whim decided to go ahead and buy book 1. I read it in 2 days and LOVED IT. I needed more and luckily someone in the office had book 2. We began a Harry Potter club and we passed around the books to each other. But now that I'm on book four and almost done, I've got to know when book 5 is coming out. I can't be without my Harry! It's so sad, I want to read book 4 slower but I can't slow down. Harry is in trouble and I need to be sure he's going to be OK. I need to stop working and read my Harry Potter book. I've never been this crazed by a book before. Its such a wonderful feeling. I want to write letters to J.K. Rowling to let her know how wonderful I feel from reading her books.
