BAGPIPES ARE WONDERFUL AT WEDDINGS AND
SPECIAL OCCASIONS The romantic strains of the pipes add a special touch to any wedding, whether inside a church sanctuary or outside in a park or garden. For centuries in Scotland and Ireland the music of the pipes have heralded the approach of the bridal party. No longer need a family be of Celtic ancestry to enjoy the skirl of the pipes on this most important day. Hello, my name is Tye Pennington, and I am 20 years old and attend University at the University of New South Wales. I was the CUO of Music for The Pipes And Drums of The Scots College, but have finished my time with the band. This makes me perfect for your occasion. I will play for any kind of function that you require, and I am an excellent piper. Currently, I am a Pipe Corporal in the Grade 3 New South Wales Police Pipe Band which is a very respected and prestigeous Pipe Band in NSW and Australia. All of my bagpiping time is spent playing with this band. I am also in a rock band based in Smithfield called Just A Day, where I play bagpipes and vocals. If you would like to hear our music, visit Just A Day Unfortanely no bagpipes are in the recordings yet, but we are working on that. In June and July of 2001, The Scots College Pipes and Drums and myself visited Scotland for a 3 1/2 week period. We travelled all around Scotland, stopping at all the main tourist spots that Scotland has to offer. Please feel free to explore the rest of my site. Just remember, for me, no job is ever too big or small! |
