Belmont High School, Los Angeles, CA
"Twelth graders reaserched Pio Pico, the last governor of Mexican California, who designed and constructed the ornately decorated Pico House, Los Angeles' first 3-story structure, and luxury hotel. Students created a Web Site, Posters, Brochure, PowerPoint presentation and a digital video documenting the house's history which will be used by docents at the museum." (History Channel)
We are a group of students from the Academy of Business and Tourism at Belmont High School. Our goal is to have a different source of information about this historical building which once it was a luxurious hotel. Besides this website, we have a brochure which has the same information we have in this website. Also we have a video of six minutes about the Pico House and a poster of the past and the present. By doing this project we won a Regional Award. We hope you will find this website interesting. Thank you for visiting our web site |
