AMETYPE 87 RECONNAISSANCE VEHICLE

{ROThe Japanese Ground Self-Defence Force ordered the development of a reconnaissance and patrol vehicle to Komatsu Limited industries. The Type 87 (6x6) uses many components of the Type 82 from Mitsubishi. It has the same armour, all-welded steel, which allows it protection from small arms. It has also a two men operated turret designed and built by Mitsubishi, with a 25 mm cannon. Also, the turret mounts three smoke granade dischargers at each side. As the type 82, it's not amphibious and has passive night vision equipment.
