SANTA BÁRBARA VEC SCOUT VEHICLE

{IMA

{ROBorn in 1977, the Spanish army bought these from Pegaso. The VEC (6x6) cavalry scout vehicle has many components of the BMR-600 IFV (Infantry Figthing Vehicle). The Standard model fits a two men operated turret, with a 25 mm cannon and a 7'62 mm MG, but the Spanish army also has a number of units with the AML 90 French turret, with a 90 mm gun. It's fully amphibious, and it's fitted as built with a NBC system and night vision equipment. Also, two water-jets can be mounted in the rear side of the hull for better amphibious performance.
