RAMTA RAM V 1 LIGHT ARMOURED CAR

{ROThe RBY Mk I Light Armoured Car is the direct predecessor of this RAM V-1 (4x4) Light Armoured Car. RAMTA Structures and Systems, from Israel Aircraft Industries, developed this model not just as Armoured Car - Reconnaissance vehicle, but also as IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle) with a 7 soldiers capacity. All-welded steel armoured, it's designed with a special care about mines, because of these, the wheels are placed at the far ends of the vehicle, to minimize mine damage. It's bottom armour is also thicker than other vehicles for the same reason. There are two main groups of this unit, the RAM V-1 with open roof, and the V-2 with closed roof. THe basic armament includes 3 (yes, three) 7'62 mm MGs, or two 7'62 mm MGs plus one 12'7 mm for AA purposes. The RAM V-1 and V-2 can be adapted to many roles and weapons: AA with twin 20 mm cannon, or AA with 106 mm recoliess rifle, or AT with TOW or MILAN guided missile system. As built, it has no NBC protection system, and it's not amphibious (There is no much water in Midle East).
