a past. a history. a story. everyone needs one. why not tell it?

i hate to talk about myself, so this is probably going to end up being pretty short. i guess you want to know about me and my music, hey? well...i started playing guitar when i was in the 7th grade. i am now in my 3rd year of college, and i still can't play anything complicated, but that's okay.

Ed Robertson of The Barenaked Ladies said in their biography that he never wanted to be the lead guitarist. he wanted to play guitar and sing, and have someone else do the complicated stuff for him. i agree wholeheartedly.

so...i write songs just like everyone else does. about life, about situations, about other people's lives, about other people, about something so profound that it can only be expressed by music, about something so idiotic that you need to share it with the world. i am an artist.

and besides being a musician, i am a theatre technician, and i am a filmmaker. i believe that all of these mediums fit together to create something wonderful, and something magical.

so. that's me. an artist. a 20-year-old girl from alberta, canada who has a dream, like so many others.
