submitted by Dave aka MrLogical: When my kids were young I didn't agree with the concept of having the kids "open" their presents and then rush out the door to visit people....so I started my own tradition (like that would surprise anyone who knew me).......everyone / anyone was welcome at our house at 6:00 Christmas morning. At 7:00 my kids were allowed to open their gifts. After the kids were done, some adults exchanged gifts. Then I made breakfast for everyone. By noon everyone was gone. As my kids grew older....my younger sister had 2 girls and continued the tradition at her house and as her kids grew my daughter picked up the tradition with my grandsons. So something that I started 30+ years ago continues to exists today (with some variations).
submitted by Carol: Memories of Christmas past include Santa Clause. As a child I can remember taking drives on Christmas eve to look at lights and upon our return home, Santa Clause had come! At the age of 6 I questioned why Dad always forgot his cigarettes and why, while we sat in the car waiting, he would return to the house before we took our annual Christmas Eve drive.

submitted by Autumn aka Scoob: Probably my favorite and also one of my first Christmas memories would be "many" years ago. I was at my grandparents house when mom took me up to my grandpa's bedroom to read me "The Three Little Pigs". Towards the end of the story, I heard a big, deep HO! HO! HO!. I ran down the stairway into the living room to find the whole room full of presents, but two stuck out more than any of the others, a red "Strawberry Shortcake" bike and a big brown doll buggie. I played with the buggie endlessly for years and every spring, fall and summer weekend I would ride my bike at my grandparents. I STILL have that bike.
