Scoobert Doo (voice - Don Messick)
This talking Great Dane is our hero, even if he is always running away from monsters. He speaks English very well for a dog though most of his words start with an "r" sound. He has may talents such as eating, acrobatics, being bait to catch the bad guys, picking locks with his tail, outrunning and hiding from the monsters, and accidently finding clues.
Norville "Shaggy" Roberts (voice - Casey Kasem)
Shaggy is the owner of Scooby. The two are often seen in pairs running from monsters and as bait. He often happens to be the first one to run into the supernatural bad guys but he is always ready to escape with desguises for himself and Scoogy. He is famous for his "grunge" outfit and his constant need for a shave and a haircut. When he is not in haunted houses he is usually eating.
Frederick Jones (voice - Frank Welker)
This blonde haired boy is known as the leader of the group. He is the one who comes up with the ideas for unecessarily elaborate traps to catch monsters. He is the "stud" in the group and constantly flirting (especially with Daphne). He is known as a "rich-boy" because he always acts sophisticated.
Daphne Blake (voice - Heather North)
Daphne is the pretty "damsel in distress" type girl. Her rich dad finances the group's travels. She is obsessed with Freddie and can seldom be seen more than 5 feet away from him unless she has been captured by the villian. When she is with Freddie she often messes up is traps. Also, Daphne often finds things that happen to be clues or secret passages to help solve the mystery.
Velma Dinkley (voice - Nicole Jaffe)
Velma is the "walking encyclopedia" of the group. She is usually the one to put all the clues together and finally solve the mystery. When Shaggy and Scooby are afraid when they are asked to be bait for Freddie's traps, she always calms then down and convinces them to do it. Velma also has a habit of losing her glasses at inopportune times like when the ghost or monster is chasing after the group.
