| The Legend: Acording to legend, this Pokemon created the continents of the world to counter it's enemy's attacks. Groudon made the sun shine bright and dried up the water caused by Kyogre's downpours, as well as the moisture in the soil on the land. The heat from the sun became dangerous, and this Pokemon was put into a deep sleep so this would not happen again. Thousands of years later, the leader of the villainous Team Magma, Maxie, awoke the ancient Pokemon using the power of the Blue Orb. He was unable to control the beast, and Groudon again made the sun shine extremely bright, drying up the land of Hoenn. Steven, the Pokemon Champion of the time, and Wallace, the Sootopolis City Gym Leader, directed a young Pokemon Trainer into the Cave of Origin to battle the restless beast. After a long battle, the Trainer captured Groudon, and saved Hoenn from being dried up from the intense sunlight. The Pokemon: Groudon's ability to learn a natural variety of attacks is extremely useful, such as the Ground-type Earthquake, and the Grass-type Solarbeam. It can learn a huge assortment of TM's and HM's, but it hardly needs them due to it's natural learning abilities. It learns few special attacks naturally, but it's exceptional Attack rating discourages many Speacial Attacks anyway. |
