It is not a good idea for a beginner bird parent to buy an unweaned chick. It is extremely easy to harm or kill a baby parrot if you are not an expert at hand feeding. If you have already purchased an unweaned chick make sure you get detailed instructions from the breeder or an avian veterinarian, so your little guy can grow up safely.
