It was a day like any other day, until the enormous mutant spider jumped out of a sewer and bit me. I screamed like a little boy and smashed it with my lucky pipe *I knew it would come in handy some day*. Spider guts went flying in all directions. Some spat in my eye. I ran around frantically screaming, "My eye! My eye! The goggles do nothing!" People looked at me like I belonged in a nut house.
I got my cool back and continued walking down the street. I had to feeling someone was following me. I heard music. I looked over my left shoulder to the street and saw the ice cream truck following me! I quickly looked away. I think he saw me.
My house seemed so far down the street. I felt the pace of my feet get faster. I could hear the ice cream truch music still playing behind me. I started to run. Run...like the wind. I kept running into people. *They can't seem to watch where they're going.* I stopped thinking about the music, I was thinking about that spiderbite on my ankle. It was swelling and it was getting harder to run. My legs felt like pudding in a pouch.
I looked to the road again. The ice cream truck was gone. SMACK! Lights out.
Everything was black. I finally came to. I opened my eyes slowly to bright light and blurred vision. I sat up slowly, rubbing my eyes. My vision went back to normal. I saw that I had run right into a "No Parking" sign. There was a slight dent. Oh well. I looked around. No one was gathering around me to see if I was all right. Damn pedestrians. I looked down the alley and what I saw startled me so. It was...the ice cream truck!
I scrambled to get up and I ran towards my house. I didn't hear the music following. I reached the door to my house to discover it was locked. I ran around the corner to the back yard. I crawled through an open window. *I really shouldn't leave my windows open when no one is home.* I gasped for air. I was safe in my home. But why was I so scared of the ice cream man? I looked down at the spiderbite. It had turned to purple mush. I went upstairs into my room. On the way up the stairs I became very tired and out of breath. I was very dizzy. The room was spinning. I began sweating abnormally. Just before I reached the top of the steps, I fainted.
