And so chapter 4 begins.

So...they're riding their wagon down the yellow dirt road. Domre and Mr. Wood were eyeing Sam's rubber duckie. He was watching them suspiciously. All the sudden, out of no where, came a flying otter! The wagon came to a halt.

"Move otter," Morlun exclaimed. "Or thou wilt be wishing death upon thyself."

The otter stood there. "Do you know who I am?!?! I'm repair man man man *echo effect*!"

"You're not a repair man! Your a simplistic otter!"

"So? I-I...lied. W-w-whats wrong with th-th-that?"

"Oh nothing...except otters who lie get eatten by buffalo."

The otter was shocked to hear this.

"Don't listen to him Mr. Otter. That's no true," Sam assured him.

The wizard interrupted. "It's very true. My cousin Edna, who happened to be an otter, once lied and said she did not eat a tin can...when indeed...she did."

"What happened to her," yelled overly cautious little Sam as he fondly cradled the magic rubber duckie in his arms.

"Out of woods, running at us stormed a wild and insane, enormous, purple buffalo! I was only a young wizard so I cowardly screamed in terror, as did Edna. We split up, each running in a different direction, I towards the forest and Edna to the plains. Good move on my part, you see. Buffalo live on plains...so anyway, I realized I was no longer being chased. I stopped in my tracks and turned around. I watched in terror as my very own otter cousin was eatten alive."

Everyone gasped in shock.

"I have not been the same since that terrible day."

Everyone was silent. No one knew what to say. They sat there for hours, starring at each other, not saying a word. Sam was rapping his fingers on the side of the wagon.

"Where are you going," asked teh otter finally breaking the silence.

"We were going to the city until you got in our way," replied Domre a bit frustrated.

The otter looked at the wizard with his sad eyes. "May I go with you?"

The wizard thought about this. The wagon was getting quite heavy and full. "You can come, just stay out of our way." And with that, the otter flew on board and they rode off down the yellow dirt road.
