The National History Day Project is a great way for students to accelerate their learning! Sixth grade has been participating since 2002. I urge 4th and 5th grade teachers and students to get involved! At the County Competition there were NO 4th or 5th grade entries! Historical Websites
First of all, make sure you follow the Student Rulebook. Secondly, two things that you must include in your exhibit are your Process Paper and Annotated Bibliography.
In brief the Process Paper simply describes how you developed your NHD project. The Process Paper should be 500 words or less, and needs to conclude with how your topic made a connection with the theme. You will need to provide 4 copies.
Your Annotated Bibliography lists your usable sources along with a brief description of each usable source and why it was important to your project. Also, say whether that source was Primary or Secondary. When organizing your Annotated Bibliography separate your sources into Primary sources and then Secondary sources.
