Some of it started in Russia...

And some other of it started in England... even a wee bit in Scotland.

Really, it all started in Chicago, on the steps of the ImprovOlympic theatre. Pat was hit on by a drunk woman. That woman was not Mary. But then Mary came by to check on her drunk friend, and the story of Mary and Pat began.

 She was an improvisor/dancer/actress, famous locally for her portrayal of Dopey  the Dwarf. He was an improvisor, best known locally for his role as a singing, dancing Obi-Wan Kenobi. She was born and raised in New York. He was born in Germany and raised in Colorado. She had gone to Michigan, he to Loyola, New Orleans, yet they discovered their dads had gone to the same high school - LaSalle Academy, where it all started.

And less than seven short years later...

... they were engaged. And now it all starts.
