RePuter is a software utility designed to easily import and export .wav files to and from the Repeater. It removes the gaps from Repeater loop wav. files and allows you to create Repeater loops from regular .wav files!

I first got an Electrix Repeater on Ebay in August of 2004, and was immediately amazed and disappointed. Amazed with the looping capabilities, disappointed with the advertised .wav file compatibility.

The Repeater saves its audio files as uncompressed .wav files, and with an inexpensive Compact Flash Card reader you can access these .wav files with your computer. But the Repeater adds gaps to the beginnings and (occasionally) ends of the files making them nearly unusable. The .wav files must be trimmed by hand in an audio editor which is very difficult to do cleanly.

So what about taking your favorite .wav file and making a Repeater loop out of it? It's not easy. (The "hack" method of doing this recommended by the previous Electrix team can be found here.) I wanted the .wav file compatibility that was promised! That is the reason I wrote RePuter.
