BAKER

Perry (1819-����)
�-�owned and operated a dry goods store in the town of McKeesport, Allegheny Co., PA. He was active in many areas of the town, being at one time Postmaster, Clerk of Council and was appointed by the govenor about 1854 as collector on the Pennsylvania Canal, when it was a great highway of commerce. Perry was married to Julia Harrison, and (as of the 1850 census), they had two daughters and a son - Ann, Kate and Willis.

Elizabeth (����-Aft.1814)
�-�was the wife of Thomas Coughlan, Jr. (1755-1834). Thomas and Elizabeth lived on Prince Edward Island, Canada, and had nine children, among whom was Thomas Coughlan, III, (b. 1793) my husband's gg grandfather.

Jane (Jennie) (1768-����)
�-�was the daughter of John (b. 1732) and Sarah (Bell) Bell of Middle Paxton Twp., Dauphin Co., PA. She married James Harrison in 1786 in Westmoreland Co., PA. James and Jennie had six children: William Henry (my gg grandfather), Elizabeth, Sarah, Belle, John, Sr., and James.

BERLIN

Clara Louise (June 5, 1892-February 3, 1955)
�-� was the daughter of George W. and Clara A. Black Berlin, and wife of Daniel McNeal. Clara was born in Pittsburgh. Clara and Daniel had two children, Daniel, Jr., and Joan. Clara is buried in Allegheny Cemetery.

George W. (1856 - 1928)
�-�was Cashier at the Consolidated Gas Co., located at 172 Mayflower, Pittsburgh. The family lived on Penn Ave. opposite East End Ave., East End, Pittsburgh. George and Clara Black Berlin had two children: Lawrence A. and Clara Louise. George is buried in Allegheny Cemetery.

BLACK

Clara A. (1855-1936)
�-�was the first child and first daughter of Thomas James and Sarah Jane McDade (McCracken) Black, and was the wife of George W. Berlin. The Berlin family lived in Pittsburgh. Clara is buried in Allegheny Cemetery.

Ida J. (1861-Aft.1922)
�-�was the second daughter and third child of Thomas James and Sarah Jane McDade (McCracken) Black, and was the wife of (Unknown) Davis. She was in a wedding group photograph taken on August 30, 1922, but I do not know her date of death. Mr. & Mrs. Davis had a daughter named Myrtle.

James E. (1891-1967)
�-�born in Dunganon, County Tyronne, Ireland, James emigrated to the U.S., living in the Toledo, OH, area. Since Black was such a common name in that part of Ireland, we are not aware that he is closely related to Robert and Margaret (Black) Black, who also came from County Tyronne (see below). He was the husband of Helen Myler, great grandaughter of Thomas Myler III.

John W. (1858-����)
�-�was the founder of the Pittsburgh newspaper called The Bulletin. He was the second child and first son of Thomas James and Sarah Jane McDade (McCracken) Black.

John Wesley (1830-����)
�-�farmer, postoffice-Swissvale, was born in Philadelphia, PA, in 1830, a son of Robert and Margaret (Black) Black, both natives of County Tyrone, Ireland. .... He was educated at the public schools of Allegheny county, and for thirty years was engaged at the trade of glassblowing, after which he carried on farming. In 1851 he married Sarah Jackson. .... Two children were born to them: Harry Winfield Black, and George Jackson Black, both deceased by 1889. Mr. and Mrs. Black were Presbyterians.

Kate Z. (1869-����)
�-�was the third daughter and fifth child of Thomas Janes and Sarah Jane McDade (McCracken) Black.

Margaret (1800-����)
�-�was born in County Tyrone, Ireland. She married Robert Black (not a relative) there and they came to the U.S., settling in Philadelphia in 1820. Their move to Pittsburgh was in 1832. They had three boys - John Wesley, Thomas James and William; and two girls - Mary and Margaret.

Minnie Morgan (November 18, 1971-January 2, 1917)
�-�was the fourth daughter and sixth child of Thomas James and Sarah Jane McDade (McCracken) Black. Minnie met William Mackey Myler, Sr., at the Shady Avenue Baptish Church in Wilkinsburg, PA, where both their families were members. Minnie and Will were married there on October 29, 1896. They had three children, William M., Jr., Alan Black, Sr., and Nancy Read. In 1917, Minnie died suddenly of acute appendicitus leaving her husband with two college-age boys and a nine year old daughter. Minnie and Will were my grandparents. Minnie is buried in Allegheny Cemetery.

Robert (c.1796-1883)
�-� by occupation a white-lead manufacturer in Pittsburgh with the late P. A. Madarie for twenty-five years, came to America about the year 1820, and in 1832 located in Pittsburgh, where he died, aged seventy-seven years. Margaret Black (no relation) whom he married in his native County Tyrone, Ireland, lived for another 10 years. The History of Allegheny Co., PA says that Robert and Margaret had ten children. In the 1850 census, I find 5 children living in the home, aged 5 to 21 years.

Thomas James (1832-1894)
�-�worked in construction as a skilled painter. In 1854 he married Sarah Jane McDade (McCracken), a widow with two children. He and Sarah had six children. They are buried in Allegheny Cemetery.

BOND

Benjamin (1805-����)
�-�came of early English Quaker stock, and lived on Saw-Mill Run in Versailles Twp., Allegheny Co., PA. He married Rachel Key, and I know of two of their children, Rachel (my g grandmother) and Riley.

Rachel (1832-March 30, 1890)
�-�was born near and grew up on Saw-Mill Run in Versailles Twp., Allegheny Co., PA, where her father owned a saw mill. Rachel married George Richey Harrison on June 25, 1851. They raised their family in Wilkins Twp., Allegheny Co. George and Rachel had eight children: William B., twins George W. & Benjamin H., Hulda, Richey Calvin (my grandfather), Katherine, Oliver, and John Wesley. Rachel is buried in Beulah Cemetery.

Ann (1690-1746)
�-�was the daughter of John and Frances Bowater. She married William Chandler September 10, 1712, in Chester Co., PA (now Delaware Co.). Their daughter, Ann Chandler, was born in 1720.

BRISBIN

George Brisbin, Sr. (c.1785-bef.1850)
�-�was the husband of Elizabeth Harrison, and son-in-law of James and Jane (Jennie) Bell Harrison. I found his family living in Clarion Co., PA, in the 1850 census, but George has apparently died by then, as his eldest son, George, Jr., is running the family farm. George and Elizabeth had 5 children living in the home at the time of the census: George, Jr., William, Ann, James and Jackson.

Mary A. (����-����)
�-�became the wife of Homer B. Myler on March 23, 1878. They had one son, Harry Myler.
