Memory of Prof. T.M.H.Rihan:
- Born in 1940 in Cairo Tal'at Mohammad Hassaan Rihan finished excellently his secondary school education in 1956. For that he was selected by the Egyptian Government to continue his higher education at Moscow State University, where he joined it's Faculty of Physics in 1957. There, T.M.H.Rihan got his Diploma (M.Sc.) in Physics in Jan. 1963. Returning home, he joined the Mathematics and Theoretical Physics Department of the Egyptian Atomic Energy Establishment (EAEE) as Demonstrator. At the EAEE, he had the chance to be in contact with brilliant Soviet theoretical physicists and specialists. T.M.H.Rihan got his Ph.D. in theoretical nuclear physics in 1966 from Kharkov State University, Ukraine. From that time on Dr. Rihan continued his scientific career in Egypt, Germany, Libya, Italy, Russia expressing him self as talented physicist with  genuine ideas and original approaches. He became Professor in Theoretical Nuclear Physics in 1997. Prof. Rihan has more than 50 publications in prestigious scientific magazines.
Prof. Rihan was the conference coordinator of the 1st Nuclear and Particle Physics Conference, NUPPAC' 97. His efforts paved the way to the success of the conference. Prof. Rihan deceased shortly after the conference, and this was a great loss to the Egyptian science community. Prof Rihan will remain forever in the memory of his friends, colleagues and students.
