Teaching Cues
Who thinks they can tell me what a tuck position is?  Like a ball good. Bring your knees to your chest.  And everyone at the same time show me straight.
Performing Locomotor and Body Positions Sequences
10 mins
Scattered
You will need a partner for this activity. Assign one person to be the doer and the other to be the observer. There are index cards spread around the floor, the observer will pick one up and read it to the doer. The doer must perform the sequence.  The observer puts the card back on the floor and picks another.  When the whistle is blown switch positions.
The doer is now the observer and the observer is the doer.

Scattered
Each of you will need a sheet of Newspaper.  After you get your paper, unfold it and place it against your chest, holding it at your shoulders.  At the signal, begin running in your own space; what happens to your paper? It stays where it is. Try running at different speeds, sometimes fast and sometimes slow.  What happens?
