Methods & Procedures

While standing in a place all by yourself, not traveling anywhere else, move your arms in as many places as possible around your body.  Pretend that you are on an island in the middle of shark-infested waters and that all your friends are on islands of their own.  You can not reach  your friends and they can not reach you.  You're stranded!
This time, while in a place by yourself, move your legs all around.  Try places you think are hard to get to, like behind you or way out to the side; come very close to falling off your island, but do not fall in.
Curling, Stretching, and Twisting in Self-Space
5 mins
Same
While staying in your self-space, where you can touch noone else, curl your body up very tightly so that you look like a ball.  Now that you are curled up, begin to stretch, ever so slowly, until you're stretched as tall and as wide as you possibly could be.  As you stretch remember that you are stuck in that hula hoop and you can not touch anyone else.  Slowly stretch just one arm, then the other arm.  Slowly stretch only one leg, then the other leg.
Now that you have practiced stretching and curling actions, you are going to add twisting actions to them.
Stretch up high, like you are reaching for a cookie jar, with two hands, you have to bring in down closer.  You suddenly get an ich in the middle of your back, hold on to the shelf with one hand and twist your body using your other hand to scratch it.
