Safety Considerations:      The area will be clear of all hazards.
                                       Mats will be spaced around the gym by teacher before   
                                       class.
                                       Proper warm-up and cool-down will be provided.
                                       The selected activities will be age appropriate and coincide
                                        with ability level.
                                        Specific instructions will be given so students do not copy
                                        one another and potentially injure themselves.
                                        Watch for unsafe balances (head, only arms, hand, etc)

Objectives: During the class, the students will perform various balancing skills for a set period of time and end with a 15 second routine.
Materials: One small mat per student
NASPE Standards:
     Standard # 1- Demonstrates competency in many movement forms and profeciency in a few movement forms.
Benchmarks:
     
Psychomotor- Develop patterns and combinations of movements into repeatable                              sequences.
     
Cognitive- Design games, gymnastics, and dance sequences that are personally
                      interesting.
     
Affective- Appreciate differences and similarities in others' physical activity.
