Their Life Together

Frank A. Reigle and Amy A. McDillon met at the Practical Bible Training School at Bible School Park, Binghamton, New York. He was enrolled as a student there in 1910.  Her role at the Practical Bible Training School, whether she was a student or staff member, is uncertain.

On December 25, 1916 they were married in Towanda, Pennsylvania, at the home of her foster parents, the Rev. Peter I. Frey and his wife, the Rev. Mae Eleanor Frey. Their wedding certificate indicates the Rev. Mae Eleanor Frey officiated the wedding and lists the witnesses. The guest list was kept to family members and a few very close friends.

Their marriage announcement as printed in the Towanda Daily Review gives the location of the ceremony as "under an evergreen arch in the parlor" at the Frey residence.  "The decorations throughout the house were evergreen and holly".

The newly married couple moved to Binghamton, New York (Broome County) where Frank held a pastorate. The living room of their first home is shown below.  Their first child, a son, Francis W. Reigle, was born in 1919 in Binghamton.

By 1921, they were in Hermitage, New York (Wyoming County). Here, their second son, Harold A. Reigle, was born.

Frank eventually became pastor of the North Darien Church, Darien, New York (Genesee County). While in Darien, they were blessed with their third and last child in 1926, a little girl, Amy A. Reigle.
