Submit a Photograph to the Theme Contest
For every theme, you have two weeks time to submit your photo. For contest information, read the Current photo theme contest page. After the deadline, any more entries will be deleted.
The judges are looking for which photos best exemplify the theme, originality, and over all creativity. They will be looking at the technical aspects of a photo a bit, but creativity is far more important than if your photo is "correct".
Think your photo has the potential to win? Fill out a submission and show us what you got! But first, read these rules and terms please:
1 - You must be 13 - 19 years of age in order to submit a photo! 12 and under & 20 and over cannot submit photos.
2 - Only ONE submission per person, per contest. Not 2, not three, ONE. The first photo you send is the photo that will be considered so choose wisely.
3 - Only PHOTOS are accepted. This means no drawn art and no digital art. It must be a photograph, film or digital.
4 - The largest side legnth of your photo must be NO LARGER than 1000 px and NO SMALLER than 500px. This means that the largest side of your photo must be at least 500 pixels and no larger than 700 px. For example: if you have a photo whose dimensions are 1000pixels by 20pixels, it's elligible.We understand that photos come in all shapes and sizes. We may have to size down your photo in order to get it to fit.
5 - No nudity, obscene images, or extreme violence is allowed. Be free to express yourself, but be tasteful in doing so please. We do have readers who are at the age of thirteen. No nudity means no breats, no genitalia, no sign of butt cleavage. Partial nudity is fine, just cover up. Don't submit anything you don't want your parents seeing ;).
6 - Your photos will be posted in the Photo Contest gallery. By sending us your photo, you give us permission to use your photo and post it in the Photo contest gallery. We will give proper credit to you, including your name, age, and e-mail/website if you chose to put it in the submission. When a new issue is made, the photos in the gallery will be erased to make room for the new photos. We will not use your photo for any other uses except for the gallery, nor will we print and/or distrubute your photo, or horde your photo on our computers after they've been taken off the site. Once they're gone, they're gone.
7 - We can choose not to place your photo in the Photo Contest gallery. If your photo did not win, cheer up and set us straight in the next contest. DO NOT send emails to us regarding why your photo did not win. They will be deleted. If for some reason at any time you want your photo to be removed from the contest, just e-mail us.
8 - HAVE FUN! We want to encourage you to take more photos and keep getting better! We want to show the world how great teen photographers really are :)
Don't be discouraged if your photo doesn't win. Take the chance and submit your work, don't be shy!
