Ok, so it's been a while since this concert, but I'll recount  it the best I can.

First of all, let me give you some advice.  DON'T EVER GO A CONCERT THAT IS SPONSORED BY 96ROCK!!!  That radio station is so not worthy of your attention, but that's another story.

I treated by (reluctant) boyfriend to this concert because it was his birthday.  It started an hour late.  Stroke 9 got the audience riled up and ready for the show.  I really didn't know any of their music until they struck up the chords for "LIttle Black Backpack".  "Who wants to kick some ass??  I DO! I DO!".  It was cool.

I honestly don't even remember the name of the band that came on after that.  They were a pretty good jam band though.  The best part of their act was when Edwin McCain hopped up on stage to sing with them.  He was playin a show at the Lincoln Theater across the street later that night, so I guess he just stopped by for a visit.

By the time Vertical got on stage, my boyfriend actually looked like he was enjoying himself!  They played a wonderful set.  Dude, they covered Pink Floyd's "Numb".  Matt Scannell said he thought it was the best rock song ever created.  Their cover wasn't too shabby either.  Of course, my concert buddy and I got our usual set list after the show.  I got a pick handed to me personally by my baby, Sean Hurley.  P.S., in case you didn't know, I get one from him at every show.  I had a chance to talk to Matt before the show, but after the show, they guys took off.  It was only the second concert that the guys didn't stay to hang out.  Boy was I pissed.

All in all, the concert rocked.  Vertical is a band that will never let you down.  Even if you're not a big fan of their music, their show will get you psyched (my boyfriend can attest to that).  Next time you get a chance to see them, get off your ass and go!!!!!!

Till Next time....
