Concert Reviews

New Page!!  I LOVE going to concerts.  I've lost count on how many I've been to.  So I'm going to start with my most recent.  Keep checking back for new reviews.  Concert going is a major hobby of mine that I avidly pursue.
My boyfriend finally dragged me to an Evanescence concert.  I wouldn't admit this to him, but I already thought they were badass.  I was looking forward to seeing the opening acts preform as well. Let's start with Breaking Benjamin.
They came on stage cussing up a storm.  But, let me tell you, these "mother fuckers" knew how to rock it.  Even though I only knew one of their songs, they sure knew how to get the audience riled up.
I was most excited to see Three Days Grace.  They were everything I expected the ass-kickin Canadian rocker band to be.  I would definitely reccommend that you check them out in concert sometime.
Seether was the last opening act.  If you're not into a Nirvana wannabe band, then you should stay away from this band.  They had talent, but the Brisith lead singer sounded a lot like a Kurt Cobain voice over.  The best part of their set was when Amy Lee came out to sing "Broken" with her beau.
Finally, the main event, Evanescence.  I must say that I was impressed with their live act.  Their set list was unconventional and their cover of the Smashing Pumpkins was unexpected.  The best part of the show, the part that made me respect Amy Lee not just for her talent, but for her wit as well, came nearly halfway through the show.  Amy's mic kept going off on her in the middle of a verse.  She kept switching them out and they kept messing up.  Realizing that the tech people had made a 'boo boo' with their equipment, Amy remarked that "that's what you get when you're at a concert where the artist actually sings instead of
lip syncing!"  I found out at that moment that Amy and I shared a common disgust for a certain trashy, Louisiana-born so-called singer.  I think I could deal with that.
