March 13 ... Chase earns his third CD leg at the Greater Louisville Training Club trial to complete his title!
March 12 ... Chase earns his second CD leg at the Louisville KC trial.
January
January 18 ... Piper again is WB for 2 pts. and Ferris is WD/BW for the final 2 points to earn his AKC championship title. Introducing new CH. Kindred's Ferris B of Phoenix!
January 17 ... Piper is awarded WB for 2 more points towards her AKC championship title at the Central Iowa KC Saturday show.

August
August 17 ... Rumor earns her first major at the Burlington IA show.
May
May 3 ... Haley is RWB at the Janesville-Beloit KC in Madison WI and Jasmine earns her 2nd CD leg.
April
April 24-26 - BSCA National Specialty ... Haley is awarded 4th place in Bred-By-Exhibitor. Jasmine (Ch. Phoenix Empress of the Night, owned by Lise and Charles Mason) earns the 1st leg of her CD and makes the first cut in BOB. Chase and Kyrri had a great time! At 13 yrs. old, Kyrri (Ch. Sundown's Phoenix Masquerade CD HIC TT ROM) was delighted to be in the showring once again and strutted her stuff in Veteran Sweeps, Veteran Bitches, and Parade of Titleholders. Chase (Ch. Phoenix Chase the Wynd HIC HCT CGC) showed very well in BOB, though did not make the cut this time. I was very proud of them at our National!
April 12 ... Chase is BOB in Crown Point, IN and Jasmine is BOS -- great father/daughter team!
March
March 1-2 ... Haley (Phoenix Fast Forward) picks up two more points towards her championship in Belleville, IL. Only 4 more to go with one major needed yet.
February
At the Greater Racine KC (Waukesha, WI), Haley adds another 2 points to her championship tally going WB/BW/BOB. Only 10 months old, she had a great time in the group ring.
January
Haley is RWB to the major at Park Shore KC.
January 26th, the puppies have their first evaluation - they all score very well, with 5 potential show prospects to keep our eyes on as they develop. I'm very excited about these babies!
2002 News
December
Rumor presented us with eight lovely, healthy puppies on December 20th! All are doing wonderfully and Rumor is a very dedicated new mom. Now to create a list of "G" names!
November
Rumor is pregnant!!! Anticipated due date is December 19th!
Haley adds another 2 points to her championship tally at Kankakee KC going WB/BOS under esteemed j. Lenora Riddle.
Allie (U-CD U-AGII *MACH* Phoenix Beyond Belief, CD AD MX MXJ EAC OGC NJC ONYX), owned by John and Beth Elliott, earned her MACH on the 17th!!! We are so very proud of Team Elliott!
October
This was another quiet month; a couple of seminars attended (Dr. Hutchison does a wonderful one on reproduction!) and Rumor was bred to Roxanne Chumbley's "DT", Haley's sire. We're hoping for December puppies!
September
Last weekend of September -- Millie (Ch. Phoenix Camilla, UD *Can/CD* HSAs OA AXJ HTD-1 TDI) earned her Canadian CD handled by 9 yr. old Edward Malnar with scores of 192.5, 191.5 and 185.5! Great job, Edward and Millie!!! She also had a 193.0 with owner, Cindee, a fourth leg for insurance. Outstanding performances!
September 21 -- Haley makes her ring debut at Tri-Cities KC in Davenport IA. Under breeder/judge Linda Friedow, Haley is awarded WB for a 4 point major then ups the ante by going BOS over a lovely specials bitch to make it 5 POINTS!!! Sunday, she was RWB to the major -- not a bad start for the baby of the family!
August
Quiet month -- waiting for Rumor to grow coat and Haley just not old enough for competition yet.
July
July 6th -- a very special day, indeed!!! Our older son wed his lovely Julie.
Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Charles R. South, Jr.!!!
Julie is a delightful addition to our family, and I finally have a daughter!
June
June 22nd - we have a new champion!!! Introducing *CH.* Phoenix Empress of the Night. Jasmine finishes her championship with a 4 pt. major at the Hawkeye KC show in Iowa City, IA under j. Chris Walkowicz and goes BOS the next day. All points were earned with her owner, Lise. Lise and Charles Mason are first-time Belgian Sheepdog owners and Jasmine is their first showdog. I am so very proud of the Masons and their girl, Jasmine.
May
Rumor goes WB/BW at the Badger KC in Madison, WI. Unfortunately, the major broke. Rumor only needs her majors to finish her championship.
At Scott County KC, Jasmine goes WB for her first major! Rumor is RWB to her sister.
Memorial weekend, Jasmine goes WB/BW and BOB over specials both Saturday and Sunday for her final minor points!!! Jasmine and Lise looked great in the group ring. Payton is BOS on Sunday.
April
April 4-7 found us traveling to Dallas, TX for the 2002 BSCA National Specialty. While we did not place in the classes, both Jasmine and Rumor showed very well and generated very positive notice. Payton enjoyed himself immensely in the BOB ring. A good time was had by all!!!

February
At the International KC benched shows, Rumor was WB/BW/BOS on Sunday and Jasmine was RWB Saturday and Sunday. Most importantly, they were stellar examples of the breed and comported themselves well, along with Payton (Ch. Phoenix Decidedly MVP). All were wonderful ambassadors of the breed to thousands of spectators both days. I am very proud of my "kids"!
January
Rumor (Phoenix Exposee) and I traveled to Minnesota the first weekend where she garnered 4 more points, taking WB/BOS over a lovely bitch special both days.
Jasmine (Phoenix Empress of the Night), piloted by owner Lise Mason, was WB/BOS at the Wheaton KC show.
December 2001 Year-End Highlight
Millie earns another 2 points as WB/BW/BOS at the Saturday Kankakee IL KC show. Only 2 points to go!
We have a new Champion! Saturday, 12/8/01 at the Lakeshore KC show, Millie finishes her championship in grand style going WB/BW/BOB for her 4th major!
Millie ends the year by earning the final leg for her U.D. title on December 15th with 1st place in Utility A! This makes her 5th AKC title earned in 2001! Millie is now known as CH. Phoenix Camilla, UD HSA-s OA OAJ HTD-1 TDI.
Kyrri (aka Ch. Sundown's Phoenix Masquerade, CD HIC TT) fulfills the requirements for her R.O.M. (Registry of Merit) with the completion of Millie's championship and the accomplishments of several other daughters and sons.
I would like to thank her "kids" and owners for making this possible.
