My Flock Mates:

Hi! I'm Elmo the white face cockatiel. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I share my house with two Senegal parrots, Pinot and Sinbad. They're not too fond of me, but believe me the feeling is very much mutual. I also share my house with my human friends Bud and Danni.

I came to live with Bud and Danni in 1999 after having two other homes previously. Bud and Danni have assured me that I will never have to get used to a new family again.

I love to whistle. I know the theme song to Andy Griffith - though I've changed it a bit and personalized it. I say several things - Danni understands me. Bud thinks Danni is hearing things. I say "Hi Baby" "Pretty Boy" "Hi Elmo" "Pretty, Pretty, Pretty" "What'cha doin'?" and other variations of those words.

I live in a very nice cage, and I get out to play every day. I love my toys - especially if they contain popsicle sticks. I eat a great diet of Zupreme Pellets, dark leafy greens (I have a great fondness for parsley, broccolini and mustard greens), people food like rice and beans and corn and peas (I'm an absolute fanatic for Beak Appetit - Cheese Teaser is my favorite flavor) , and millet seed for treats. I've got it good in my home!
