Way back in the days before Saltgirl, I thought I was a solitary pervert.
Then I read ASB abd discovered I wasn't so bad after all. In fact, I was
even offended and (dare I say it) disgusted by some of the posts.
Isn't it interesting that now I am willing to tolerate -- even try
to understand -- the perversions of others in order to find a home for
my own perversions.
Do you think that maybe this whole idea of ASB-like discussion
groups is the beginnings of something really big? Tolerance therapy
for the world? If a midwestern prude/pervert like me can learn tolerance,
maybe some day thousands of people will be learning that they have a place
in the world by talking -- some anonymously -- to the rest of the world
this way. Someone should be keeping a record of everything said here.
Imagine if you could have been there when Freud or Darwin or Einstein
experienced/caused the beginning of a VERY BIG IDEA.
Therapy for the whole world is a big concept. If it happens, someone
will someday write a book about how it all got started....
Sorry, it's late on Friday evening and I tend to get philosophical at
the end of the week.
