TomDLux did it, no doubt, with that repost of his - isn't that what
they say? Mention someone enough times, and all of a sudden, there
they are.

So, there I was, between classes, and having just finished a sorely
needed shower and taking advantage of a half hour of free time to
check my mail. (What else would I do with my free time? =8-) )

And there was, in my mailbox, a letter from someone I'd never heard
from before, from a prominent Southern school.

Since one of the addresses this was apparently meant to go to was wi-
post, I'm not going to feel terribly guilty about excerpting sections
of it...

    >i met a very foxy lady at a party last week and she asked me to
    >send an e-mail note to a couple of addresses and you are one of
    >them. the first address was bad, probably because it had a hyphen
    >in it, but she insisted it was correct. of course it bounced. she
    >said you would pass on greetings to all her
    >friends even if i couldn't get through to the first address. i
    >told her that hyphen wouldn't work.
    >
    >i'm supposed to say howdy from nurse jones.

So, we have clear proof that she's still floating about, out there, in
(*gasp*) Real Life...

    >i'm just supposed to tell you she misses you in case you are
    >still there and she's still trying to get an account where she
    >will be protected from some sysadmin she had trouble with who was
    >reading her e-mail. i told her that is illegal, i think, but she
    >said it was a long story. do you know what's going on here? this
    >lady could have my password any day of the week, but she said
    >thanks anyway, but no thanks.

Hands up, everybody else who has offered Nurse Jones an account...
*grin*

    >the party was dullsville arizona, incidentally, except for her.
    >she's fantastic looking. kind of kinky, though. very kinky, in
    >fact, if the way she dresses is any indication.

Our Nurse Jones? Naah...

I do feel a certain sympathy for my correspondent here, who will
almost certainly never see NJ again, and is probably going to wonder
for a long time what exactly it was that just breezed into his life,
and then out again.

Dangerous Maggie Jones, If you're somewhere out there, reading over
somebody's shoulder some place, well, know this then - folks have
come, folks have gone, and life marches on apace, but the Brigade's
all here, one way or another, and the armour's still polished.

And I've gotten a much better idea, since last time, what I'd do with
carte blance. Thank you.

Be well, wherever you be.
