Carrie Bradshaw
Sarah Jessica Parker

Job: Sex columnist and "sexual anthropologist" for The New
York Star. Late-night cavorting and the sex lives of herself
and her single friends are the fodder for Carrie's
provocative writing on dating and mating in the concrete
jungle.

Personal Style: Carrie's fashion sense is the epitome of
downtown glamour. The show's costume designer, Patricia
Field, masterfully mixes haute couture and vintage finds to
create eye-catching looks that are by turns edgy,
revealing, eclectic and coyly charming. During the day,
Carrie sports a belly-baring bohemian chic look and at
night, and depending on her destination, she opts for
sex-kitten slinky dresses. And no matter what the occasion, Carrie treads in strappy
stiletto heels. As for accessories, Carrie is armed with the Fendi baguette bag and she
never takes off her signature gold nameplate necklace with a Playboy bunny charm.
Carrie's long golden locks are usually left as free-flowing curls, but she isn't a stranger
to the occasional blow-out.

Vices: Cigarettes and Cosmopolitans

Love of her Life: Mr. Big. Carrie fell hard for the emotionally unavailable, devastatingly
charming Mr. Big. After countless attempts to make the relationship move forward,
Carrie finally realized it was all pain and no gain. Her heart broken, she let him go.

Unforgettable Lines:

"Maybe some women aren't meant to be tamed. Maybe they need to run free
until they find someone just as wild to run with."
