The project is conceived as a preliminary estimate of the extent and quality of the still available photographic materials as well as prints, maps, and other pictorial materials which can constitute part of the Filipino culture and historical resources. The conditions of access and use, donation or purchase of existing materials as well as the possible approach in collecting and build-up and storage of these materials will form part of the project study.

The overall feasibility of establishing a historical research facility which is simultaneously a creative laboratory and public gallery where the historical resources stored in the archives or made accessible to the facility are used creatively in combination with more contemporary materials, to produce visual presentations and public education programs with specific topics and themes.
