I read Huck Finn in 6th grade, only to learn I was going to read it again in 8th grade, so I read it twice.  I was supposed to read it again in high school, but though it's a great book, twice was enough.  Huckleberry Finn was one of the nicknames some teachers used to call me because I never wore shoes.  The Grapes of Wrath I read as a "family history" book in 7th or 8th grade, under the orders of my uncle.  I read that too again in high school, but got more out of it the second time as I actually understood more of the important social implications.  My least favorite book I had to read in school was "Pride and Prejudice".  Who in the hell wants to read about a bunch of snooty chicks trying to catch a bunch of snooty guys like fish?
