Philip Jones is the only one who is not a family member. He plays flattop guitar and vocals. A native of Ritchie County and a former attendee at the Cairo Baptist Church back in the 50's, he has been playing for many years and with such groups as Rocky Mountain Bluegrass, Rusty Conrad, Tunnel Hill and others. He and his wife Carole also perform together.
The Ray’s music background began with the boys’ grandfather,
Raymond Ray, who has played and sung gospel music for many years. Their uncle, Danny Ray, is also an
accomplished songwriter and musician.
Vanessa’s family also included musicians.
This group is available for weekends and evenings,
churches, fairs, homecomings, birthday parties, reunions, etc... Our purpose is to provide the boys more
opportunity for meaningful performing experience. And we all enjoy this wonderful hobby.
