"Starry Night" ( 1889)
(this painting can be viewed at the Museum of Modern Art in New York)

Starry Night

Ear of Vincent The Ear... a little History on Vincent
Most People  look at a Van Gogh piece and say, "That man was demented, it's just a bunch of crazy marks!" But that genious, Van Gogh, combined these "crazy marks" in such a way as to create beautiful scenery, in the style of Impressionism. It took me many years to finally figure out why I loved this piece so much. The obvious reason is the color usage the opposites of deep violet blues and light orange yellows and are repeated in several of Van Goghs works, like "Cafe Terrace at Night".
Another reason I enjoy this work was found when I discovered the cloud movement. After having  a poster of this work in my bedroom for months and months I saw the clouds reach out and "grab me". It was like one of those tricky pictures that u have to look through and you see a 3D scene, only this was just the clouds coming out of the painting. and saying "hello". Talk about your 3D! Vincent had it figured out in the late 1800s. However, everyone views a piece of art differently.
