TIPS on genealogy: I love digging and making connections in my genealogy research. In my research for another surname, Slater, I found a cousin and opened the door to the past 9 generations back! That was exciting for me because I knew little about genealogy and taught myself. I invested around $100 for a program to help organize my notes and I was filling in the charts like crazy! I now have a database of cousins I've met with email addresses and url's to their pages. More help can be found at www.rootsweb.com.

Hamilton Search: Benjamin Hamilton b: 1761 in Hawkins/Sullivan Co., TN. He married Susanna Hurst in 1792.
I am trying to prove who his parents really are. I've been told they were Thomas and Esther (Sampson) Hamilton. But I have yet to see the proof.
