The firm known as Spinning Rock Media publishes
and promotes full-length books and chapbooks. We specialize in the publication
of positive, Christian, and Christian-influenced books in various genres,
from science fiction and fantasy to allegory and nonfiction.
What this means is that we'll offer help on anything from pre-writing/brainstorming to cover design. We'll find financing for your project and get it into print. There will be a lot of marketing and promotion to do on your book, and we'll work together to get that done.
Up until this posting (2/28/07), Spinning Rock Media is a one-man show.
"Philip Michael Productions" would sound amateurish, which is why I've given my firm a more formidable title. Some people think that
in naming this company, I have deceived the public. I don't believe that
this is the case. I have named the company in a way that makes it sound
bigger for two reasons: 1) I don't want to scare off people who are looking
for professional help, and 2) I am not an amateur. I have worked for years in
the field of graphic design, both for a local newspaper and commercial
printer. I have written several pieces that earned me bylines in print and
have read extensively in the areas of printing, design, writing, business,
and hospitality. When you look to Spinning Rock Media for your publishing
and promotion needs, you get a real person with real knowledge.
Unlike some, SRM does not charge for anything. Comprehensive editorial service and realistic critique is part of our investment and belief in your work. We don't even require you to order your books. We do require that you work with us, and are dedicated to helping us make your work a success.
