Our 1st Anniversary Trip
Nashville & Memphis, TN
July 2003
We originally wanted to go to Boston this year, but the flights didn't work out to our liking, so we chose a different location - and decided to do Boston another year . . . . but, we loved the trip, and had a blast !  We spent a total of 5 days and 4 nights.
It's going to be hard to put all our pictures on one page, so I've just put links below to all the things we saw and did. . . . . that way, you can pick and choose for yourself !
GRACELAND
MEMPHIS, TN
BELLEMEADE PLANTATION - NASHVILLE, TN
STONES RIVER NATIONAL BATTLEFIELD
Civil War
MURFREESBORO, TN
THE HERMITAGE - HOME OF ANDREW JACKSON
NASHVILLE, TN
ROCK & SOUL MUSEUM
MEMPHIS, TN
"The Famous  PEABODY  DUCKS"
MEMPHIS, TN
We also visited an old home that was part of the Underground Railroad during the Civil war - in Nashville . . . . . Philip thought they were leading us out to where nobody would discover our bodies . . . needless to say, this was in a very old and very BAD part of town.  But, it was interesting, nonetheless. We were able to tour the home, and see where the slaves crawled through the crawl space to sneak into the house, and where they were hidden until their next run for safety.    See, he can always count on me to keep the trip interesting !!! No pictures were allowed inside, so I didn't post that "adventure" of our trip here. . . .

Although we didn't get any pictures (they weren't allowed), we went to the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Willie Nelson & Friends Museum, and the Jack Daniel's Distillery in Lynchberg, TN.

We had a blast on our trip, and are looking forward to our next one !
