| Here is the place Jackson called home for over 40 years and where he returned in 1837 after two terms as US President. When we toured the mansion (again, no pictures allowed inside), historically-costumed interpreters guided us on a tour of the mansion, recounting the times and tales of Andrew Jackson and his family. We saw original furniture, wallpapers, porcelains, portraits, and Jackson's personal belongings ~ including a sword, eyeglasses and his Bible. This was "very cool historical stuff" and I was very excited ! |

| Andrew Jackson's wife loved gardening, so after she died, he made a vow to keep the gardens in pristine shape . . . . other than new flowers, this is exactly as it was laid out during his life. | |||||||||||||||||||
