My name is Philip John Bodenstaff and I'm searching for family to.
My father, Eugene Bodenstaff, was born on the 5 of May 1917 in Patjitan, the Dutch East Indies (Nederlands-Indi� or just Indi�).
His mother was Agnes Ullrich (born 21 April 1885 in Gombong) and his father was Frederik Edward Bodenstaff.
Frederik Bodenstaff (born 1-4-1878 and was murdered in 1946 in Nederlands-Indi�. He descends via, Gerardus Hermanus Bodenstaff, Franciscus Bodenstaff, Gerardus Joannus Bodenstaff, Johannes Henricus Bodenstaff from Johan Hendrik Bodenstaff, who also is the father of Conradus Bodenstaff. On the page of Take Bodenstaff he was mistakenly called the "patriarch" of the family.
On his site one can also find a picture of a coat of arms. I' not sure if it really is the coat of arms of our family Bodenstaff, but it sure is nice!
As you can see I have managed to gather quite some information about the Bodenstaff's.
For the "Indische branch" I run into some luck when I found a small family tree at het Indisch familie Archief in The Hague (Den Haag) .
For the "Dutch branch" I got a lot of help from Ron van de Werdt. (Thanks Ron)
