Strategy
Half-Life has a simple strategy, don't get killed, but there are many things you can do to help not get killed.
Here's some basic tips on playing the game-
Don't break boxes with ammo or explosives, use your crowbar.
Don't unleash a ton of ammo on a little crab, just back away and shoot it with your pistol or attack it with your crowbar.
If the barnacles, red things, are not really high up on the ceiling, let them get a hold of you and attack them with your crowbar.
Always use the security guards, I had three at one time and I let them kill everything, I bring the scientists too, so they can absorb some shots, same goes in Opposing Force, let your fellow soldiers help you.
When facing soldiers, dont sit there and exchange fire with them, strafe and shoot and jump too, if you can, or throw a mp3 at them or some explosive.
Don't run straight into an open area, most of the time you will be shot at from 15 different directions, and be killed.
