The following pages are my exploration of different aspects of Saitou Hajime as he is characterized in the Rurouni Kenshin manga and animé. I won't be re-telling the story... anyone unfamiliar with Watsuki Nobuhiro's creation is out of luck. The fact is this is a shrine, an excuse to obsess and share that obsession with other fans. This shrine is by no means finished... in fact, it is currently under total reconstruction and completing a single page takes me days, so it will be a slow process. It may take as long as a year to be as thorough as I want it to be. While I have a scanlation of the manga available to me, for images from the animé I am dependent upon an extremely talented, very busy, and extraordinarily generous individual, who I don't think had a clue what she was getting into when she offered to do screen-capturing for me. I will love her and Saitou forever. The only impact to the site is that there will be more manga images until the screencaptures slowly catch up. To complicate matters, and for the benefit of those unfamiliar with the fact that Japanese is read from right to left... groups of individual images that tell a story go from left to right, but any text within an image is read from right to left. Images that are captures of several frames from the manga are read from right to left. It can take some getting used to if you're new to it. began collecting images of Saitou over a year ago, and sorry to say, I did
not keep up with where all of them were coming from. This
explains the differences in image quality. I have tried to use
images screen-captured by Black Faery whenever possible,
however, many (if not most at this point) come from a wide variety of sources.
Over time, those images I don't have a source for will be replaced with
images I've requested or scanned myself. New images will be
added as I have time to update, so visit again.
All rights to the images on this site belong to Watsuki Nobuhiro and all companies holding copyright to the Rurouni Kenshin manga, animé series, and OAVs. I am not profiting by this in any way. My only interest is in sharing my love of this character with other fans and encouraging others to take an interest in the character and the Rurouni Kenshin universe.
